Living in Jakarta for almost 2 years has changed my mind.
Including the way I think of my portfolio. Years ago, I knew nothing about
photography. All I knew was photography was the way I expressed myself. Now it
changes. Photography has brought me further to know world, and I want it to
know me deeper. That is why I make blog by using blogspot.com. You can visit
wulanywuni.blogspot.com. It is very important for me to have blog, to make
online portfolio. As a student of photography, there are many options to save
their photographs. I myself prefer online. It is very effective and free.
Although there are some cases come from that, but online will always be the
first in my mind.
The connection between photography and English is very
strong. Without English, we will loose many photography educations. Let’s see,
most of photography books come from abroad, written in English. Many cool
photographers are speaking English. It makes me think that Englsih is very
important, and learning English is very useful especially in photography.
My concept is very
simple, I upload pictures I have and write the caption in English. The target
is to make people from another country visit my website and leave comments. If
we speak in a language they understand, they will get interested in reading
yours. I hope it is going to work on my website which will be filled by a lot
of food photographs.
About the visualization, my blog is very simple. To be
honest, this is the first blog I make. Years ago I never knew about how to make
blog. In fact, I just saved my photographs in my handphone. Now I can save it
on my website and let the world see them. Talking more about photography,
closer to the Final Test, my photographs will be more about food, Padangnese
food. I believe there are only 3 from 10 people who know about the real
location of the Padangnese food, that is why it is the opportunity for me to
make it as the project.
The photographs will never be separated with their
captions, which will make them clear to be understood. Here is the way I work
with my photographs. Besides, I actually never think of the genre that
photography has. I like working in documentary, commercial and arts. I like
doing things outside too. I think the exploration will be on my photographs.
Because this is a new blog, there are some plans that are
still in the making like the template, color, and other photographs I have
made. When the Padangnese food photographs are clear, I will upload them soon
so everyone will feel hungry when seeing mine there.
In the end, photography and English are things that will
go together. Just like food and beverages, let’s eat Photography and Drink
English Everyday!
